Fly Out - Angel of Peace 2023 Annual Angel 4 3/4" After years of absence, HUM 2315 is now available in a new edition with revised decor and a new name. The cute angel with the dove of peace was born as the annual angel in 2009. To this day he has lost none of his zeitgeist and will continue to be considered an annual ambassador in 2023. The little angel with his red and yellow robe comes with the classic angel wings. A special highlight, however, is the little white dove sitting on the angel's hand - ready to spread its wings and take off. As a symbol of peace known around the world, the dove also stands for peace in the world and positive looking ahead to the future - a sign that, after the years plagued by the pandemic, stands as a good omen for everything that lies ahead of us. The Hummel Manufactory is also taking up the long Christian tradition of the dove of peace, which has its origins in the biblical story of Noah and his ark. In his ark, Noah survived the flood that God had brought upon the people in his anger. When it finally stopped raining after 40 days, Noah sent three doves into the air. The first dove returned with an empty beak, the second dove brought him an olive branch, and the third dove disappeared. For Noah, the olive branch meant that the flood had been overcome and with it the wrath of God had subsided, so that the dove that brought him this branch became the first dove of peace. Sometimes roughly translated as "Fly Out". We like to think of this more as our Angel of Peace.
